Celebrate America’s birthday with an evening of fun, festivities, and fireworks at the City of Port St. Lucie’s Freedomfest on Thursday, July 4. The event runs from 4-10 p.m. at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center, located at 9221 SE Event Center Place, Port St. Lucie.

The celebration will feature a tropical theme with a live music performance by Jimmy Buffet tribute band The Landsharks. Attendees can enjoy food from various food trucks and participate in activities suitable for both children and adults.

The schedule includes:

- 4-9 p.m.: Laser tag for all ages.

- 6 p.m.: A hotdog-eating contest where participants compete to eat the most hotdogs in five minutes. The winner will receive a trophy and be crowned the King or Queen of Hotdogs.

- 6:30-9 p.m.: Live music by The Landsharks Band.

- 9 p.m.: Fireworks choreographed to music and broadcast live on B94.7 FM Fresh Country and 93.7 GYL Today’s Best Music (weather permitting).

Parking and admission are free for this event. Families and friends are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes and enjoy an evening that concludes with a spectacular fireworks show.

For those seeking an upgraded experience, tickets can be purchased for Freedomfest’s exclusive viewing area which offers a premium view of the fireworks away from the crowds along with private seating on the terrace. This package includes access to MIDFLORIDA Event Center’s Ultimate 4th of July Experience featuring a Blazin’ BBQ Buffet, refreshments, dessert, live music by The Party Dogs, and an interactive Kid’s Zone with activities such as face painting and fairy hair.

A full-service cash bar will be available with guests aged 21 years or older able to try the complimentary signature cocktail—a blend of vodka and watermelon lemonade.
