Port St. Lucie is offering its residents an opportunity to influence the city's future through participation in the 2025 #IamPSL Citizen Summit. The event will be held on Saturday, February 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center located at 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.

The summit, now in its seventh year, is designed as a drop-in event with activities for all ages. It allows residents to engage in planning Port St. Lucie's future through interactive activities and discussions with city officials.

"The Citizen Summit is a cornerstone of our strategic planning efforts, helping us to meet the needs of our community now and in the future," stated Kate Parmelee, Deputy City Manager for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation. "This event is centered around listening to the voices of the City’s residents and informing them about key projects underway that have been designed with their feedback."

Attendees can explore booths aligned with the city's strategic goals and will receive an exclusive T-shirt for providing feedback. Participants are given $100 in play money to prioritize where taxpayer dollars should be allocated, aiding City Council in updating this year's Strategic Plan.

In past summits, residents have prioritized increased access to parks and green spaces. The city will address this at this year's summit through its Naturally PSL Green Spaces and Places initiative.

The event aims to gather input from all age groups, including children and teens. Planned activities include entertainment by students from St. Lucie Public Schools, educational opportunities for kids, a selfie station, and more.

Culinary arts students from St. Lucie Public Schools will offer complimentary refreshments and food demonstrations.

For more information on activities and giveaways or to review previous feedback, visit www.CityofPSL.com/CitizenSummit as the date approaches.
