The City of Port St. Lucie is set to honor U.S. military veterans with a ceremony on Veterans Day. The event will take place on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park located at 2100 SE Veterans Memorial Parkway in Port St. Lucie.
The ceremony aims to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who have served in the U.S. armed forces. Attendees can expect speeches from guest veterans sharing their personal experiences.
Musical performances will include "The Star-Spangled Banner" and an armed forces medley by the Port St. Lucie Community Band. Additionally, there will be a rifle salute and the playing of taps.
City Councilman Anthony Bonna Sr. and John Ramos Sgt., U.S. Army, are among the prominent guests scheduled to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring a chair due to limited seating availability.
