The City of Port St. Lucie is initiating a significant update to its Comprehensive Plan and is inviting community members to participate in the first of three planned workshops. This initiative, titled Charting Port St. Lucie 2045, aims to incorporate a visioning component to ensure that the updated plan aligns with the community's future aspirations.
The initial workshop will address the question, “Where are we now?” Participants will be informed about current socio-demographics, recent development trends, public facilities and services status, and population projections through 2045.
"The community’s participation is vital to shaping the future of Port St. Lucie," stated city officials, urging residents to attend these public workshops and express their views.
The first workshop is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, from 6-8 p.m., at the Port St. Lucie Community Center located at 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd., Port St. Lucie.
Additional information and project schedules can be accessed on the project website at cityofpsl.com/compplan. A survey is also available online for public input regarding future planning for the city. Residents with questions about the Comprehensive Plan are encouraged to contact the City of Port St. Lucie's Planning and Zoning Department at 772-871-5213.
