St. Lucie County issued the following announcement on Mar. 11.
Fairwinds Golf Course will once again host the 8th Annual Ultimate Drive Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 7 with 100% of the proceeds going to the United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee.
Organized by the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, this tournament has raised more than $380,000 over the past eight years for individuals and families in need here in our own community. This year’s title sponsors are: Dr. Shane Whiteley with Regenerative Medical Group and Jimmy Freitas, owner of The Rusty Putter and Bonner Mobile Bar. Food and beverage will be provided throughout the day and golfers will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and participate in various contests along the course. This tournament is filling up quickly. However, there are still some sponsorship opportunities available.
For questions about sponsorships and registration, please contact: Matt Baum at 772-462-2551, Roger Jacobsen at 772-462-2818 or Denise Helms at 772-464-5300 or email: denise.helms@uwslo.org.
Located at 4400 Fairwinds Drive off of U.S. 1 in northern Fort Pierce, Fairwinds Golf Course is an award-winning public course managed by St. Lucie County’s Parks & Recreation Department.
