The City of Port St. Lucie’s Parks & Recreation Department is excited to announce the Green Art Showcase, an inspiring exhibition dedicated to promoting environmental awareness through the lens of art. The event, set to take place at the Community Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida, aims to bridge the gap between artistic expression and environmental conservation by featuring art made from at least 50% recycled materials.

According to the announcement, the Green Art Showcase invites creatives of all ages to explore the beauty and potential of recycled materials by transforming them into stunning artworks. The event not only provides a platform for local artists to display their talent but also serves as a reminder of the importance of recycling in preserving our planet.

Artists interested in participating in the Green Art Showcase are encouraged to submit their artwork made from at least 50% recycled materials for review by the Parks & Recreation Department staff. Approved pieces should be delivered to the Port St. Lucie Community Center by March 29th to be displayed throughout the month of April.

Kelly Tiger, the Special Events Administrator, stated, "For artists, your talent and creativity are highly valued!" Artists can send images of their artwork to KTiger@CityofPSL.com to participate in the exhibition. Additionally, art enthusiasts are invited to visit the PSL Community Center in April to admire the innovative and environmentally conscious creations of local artists.

This event provides a significant opportunity for residents to engage with art while reflecting on the importance of sustainability and environmental stewardship. The Green Art Showcase is free and open to the public, offering a meaningful experience for all attendees.

To learn more about the event and how to participate, individuals are encouraged to visit PSLParks.com.
