Known for his service in Congress since 2017, Rep. Mast has been vocal about issues concerning national security and support for the military.
On March 5, 2025, Rep. Mast emphasized the importance of public safety by stating: "Our top priority will always be the safety of American citizens. It’s common sense: if an illegal immigrant is detained after committing ANOTHER crime, they should NOT be released."
Later that day, he reiterated his stance on legal immigration and law enforcement: "Our message is clear: if you come here legally and follow the law, you’ll find opportunity…break our laws and you’ll find consequences."
In another statement on March 5th, Rep. Mast highlighted recent achievements in military recruitment under current leadership: "We’ve hit the highest military recruitment in 15 years because our troops know they have a Commander in Chief who will support them and understands their sacrifice."
