Rep. Brian Mast, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district, shared a series of tweets expressing his views on government spending, trade policies, and economic conditions under different administrations. Mast has been a member of Congress since 2017 after replacing Patrick Murphy.
On March 5, 2025, Rep. Mast tweeted about government spending, stating: "When the government spends less, YOU have more. It’s that simple."
In another tweet posted shortly after, Mast discussed trade policies under the current administration: "America will no longer be taken advantage of by friends or foes. Under @POTUS trade policies we are putting American companies and workers FIRST!"
Later the same day, he criticized the economic performance of the previous administration: "Over the last four years, the Biden admin created an economic catastrophe and an inflation nightmare. Under @POTUS we are making America AFFORDABLE Again."
