January is Move Over Month, and Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles data shows that there were 590 move over citations issued in St. Lucie County in 2022. Failing to follow Florida's Move Over Law significantly increases risk of serious injury or death.

Please do your part. Put down your cell phones, keep your eyes on the road and both hands on the wheel, and remember to move over for all stopped emergency vehicles, including tow trucks. If you can't move over, slow down to 20 mph under the posted speed limit or 5 mph at a posted speed limit of 25 mph or less.
