43rd Annual, Florida Association of School Resource Officers, Training Conference

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, School Resource Team, is in Orlando, at the 43rd Annual, Florida Association of School Resource Officers, Training Conference.

This week long annual conference, teaches all School Resource Deputies the most current trends in active threat responses, case law updates, current trends, and case reviews from major incidents across the nation.

We also want to mention three of our team members who were honored for receiving the FASRO, SRO Practitioner designation. Sergeant David Bailey, Deputy Tiffiany Welsh, and Deputy Michael Snowhill. This designation is awarded to Deputies who have excelled in advanced training and development for juvenile safety.

Our whole team will be better prepared for the upcoming 2022/2023 school year to ensure the safety of all students and staff who attend schools in Indian River County.

A special thank you to the School District of Indian River County, and Superintendent, Dr. David Moore, for ensuring this training continues.
