Martin County Board of County Commissioners issued the following announcement on July 24.
We are once again seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in Martin County and in most cases, the patients are not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated.
As a reminder, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after their second dose with Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson's vaccine.
The CDC recommends that if you are not fully vaccinated yet, to keep taking all precautions until you are.
