The City of Port St. Lucie is set to expand its summer camp offerings this year, with registration opening from March 14 through March 28. The camps will take place from June 9 to August 1 and aim to provide a range of activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and physical fitness among young participants.
To meet the growing demand for these programs, the city is introducing four new camp locations: Manatee K-8 School, Southern Oaks Middle School, Southport Middle School, and McCarty Ranch Wilderness Camp. These are in addition to the existing sites at MIDFLORIDA Event Center and Minsky Gym.
A new lottery system will be implemented for families registering for all eight weeks of camp. This replaces the previous first-come, first-served method, ensuring equal opportunity for all interested households. Once registration closes on March 28, participants will be selected randomly by the system and notified with instructions for completing enrollment. It is important to note that no seats are guaranteed until enrollment is finalized after selection.
Families opting to register for individual weeks will have their applications processed based on submission date and time, provided there is space available after those registered for the full eight weeks.
Camp fees are set at $140 per week, with half-day camps available on a drop-in basis at $25 per day.
