Notions & Potions + Hibiscus Children’s Center CHALLENGE! on April 16, 2022

Event

The Children Services Council of St. Lucie County along with the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce has established the Small Business Challenge Program to help incentivize the use of locally owned St. Lucie County businesses, while also supporting local non-profit providers.

Utilizing their extensive networks, including more than 13,000 followers on Facebook, a radio show and several local access TV spots, the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County and the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce want to issue a “challenge” to residents to find ways to support local businesses and local non-profits during these difficult times.

The program will work like this: participating businesses, nominated by the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce will be matched with a non-profit, funded by the Children’s Services Council, as a partner. During their match month, both organizations will promote the Small Business BIG Challenge as well as the business and the non-profit selected. At the end of the month, the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County will donate an amount equal to the selected business’ revenue (up to $1,000) to their non-profit “partner”.

We hope that through this fun challenge local residents are encourage to patron businesses, shops and eateries owned by local families who have been hard by the pandemic, supply chain issues and the economy, while also drawing attention to the hard work being done by our non-profits working to serve children and families.

This month we will be featuring Notions & Potions Candles and More located in beautiful Downtown Fort Pierce and Hibiscus Children’s Center servicing children of the Treasure Coast.
