City of Fellsmere issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
The City Council has decided to perform a full mailing to all property owners in the City and then conduct a workshop on March 12, 2020 at 7:00 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Old School, at 22 S. Orange St. The mailing should be sent by end of January.
On March 19, 2020, the City Council would then decide at their regular scheduled council meeting to proceed or not with the formal study that would provide more complete answers to cost and extent of a potential road assessment. The study would take about six months to complete.
An assessment would not be implemented until a new round of public outreach is conducted in late 2020 so the community can be fully informed on the outcome of the study. A decision to implement an assessment or not would not be made until late 2020.
