Rep. Brian Mast, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district, has recently shared a series of statements via social media on topics ranging from federal spending to government efficiency and political appointments.
On December 8, Rep. Mast commented on a recent visit by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to Capitol Hill, stating, "This week, @elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy came to the Capitol Hill to talk about their effort to cut federal spending and make the government run efficiently." He expressed his approval of their efforts as a refreshing change for Washington D.C., which he described as being prone to wasting taxpayer dollars.
The following day, on December 9, Mast voiced his criticism of the current state of the U.S. government bureaucracy in another post: "The United States Government, today, is a massive bureaucratic state where taxpayers’ interests are the last of their priorities." He mentioned an upcoming initiative involving "DOGE" that aims to transform the U.S. back into a democracy rather than a bureaucracy.
Later that same day, Mast expressed support for Tulsi Gabbard's nomination as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). He tweeted: "Proud to support my friend, @TulsiGabbard. She will make a great DNI." Rep. Mast urged the Senate to confirm President Trump's team.
