The facility shared its position with Palm City Nursing & Rehab Center, Stuart Rehabilitation and Healthcare, and Martin Coast Center for Rehabilitation and Healthc.

The facility reported 120 available beds, which is four more than the county average for the period. Seabranch Health and Rehabilitation Center assisted an average of 114.4 residents in the quarter.

The overall rating from the CMS for Seabranch Health and Rehabilitation Center was 3 out of 5. This score was below Florida’s nursing home average of 3.3 for the same timeframe.

According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates, the older adult segment of the U.S. population keeps increasing while younger age groups continue to decline. From 2020 through 2024, the number of residents aged 65 and up rose by 13%, while Americans under 18 decreased by 1.7%. The nation’s senior population has grown rapidly since 1920, up from 4.9 million to more than 61 million by 2024.

A 2021 study indicates nearly half of adults aged 65 and older—about 28 million people—might require long-term services or support, with projections showing that over one-third may eventually enter a nursing home.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
