Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district, shared several personal and community-focused messages on his social media account in January 2026.
On January 12, Mast posted about alligator safety, warning residents of the risks during winter months: “A 1 in 3.1 million chance of being injured—unprovoked—by an alligator is still not zero. Winter means alligators leave their ponds in search of sun. Keep pets leashed & away from the water’s edge and never feed an alligator.” He emphasized caution for pet owners and advised against feeding wildlife.
The following day, on January 13, Mast highlighted local youth entrepreneurship: “I love to see entrepreneurial spirit in our kids—investing in themselves and in strengthening our local economy. Kudos to these two for their hard work.” The post acknowledged young individuals contributing to the community’s economic vitality.
Later that same day, Mast marked a personal milestone with a message dedicated to his wife: “Happy 19th Anniversary, Brianna. You are the light of our world and the best mother to our four monkeys. Couldn’t do life without you. Love you.”
Mast has served as Florida’s representative in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he now resides in Fort Pierce and earned his BA from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
