Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted several updates on his social media account on May 15, 2026, addressing topics ranging from honoring law enforcement to public health and veterans’ healthcare.
On Peace Officers Memorial Day, Mast wrote: “Today on Peace Officers Memorial Day – and every day – we honor fallen and disabled law enforcement officers who selflessly sacrificed their own lives to keep ours safe.” (May 15, 2026).
Later the same day, Mast alerted his constituents about a local public health issue: “The Florida Department of Health issued a water quality advisory for the Roosevelt Bridge and Stuart Sandbar.” (May 15, 2026).
In another post, Mast highlighted legislative progress related to veterans’ healthcare access: “Every veteran deserves a straightforward conversation with their doctor about their best treatment options. My amendment, the Veterans Equal Access Act, just passed the House as part of the funding package for the VA, to make sure they get one.” (May 15, 2026).
Mast has served in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently resides in Fort Pierce. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. In addition to his political career, Mast earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
