Rep. Brian Mast, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, shared a series of posts on May 8, 2026, addressing support for small businesses, honoring World War II veterans, and commemorating the U.S. Navy’s anniversary.
In his first post of the day, Mast expressed gratitude for new federal initiatives to aid small businesses: “MADE IN AMERICA—Thank you @SBAgov for launching a program to support hands-on training and technical assistance for our small businesses.” (May 8, 2026).
Later that afternoon, Mast paid tribute to World War II veterans and highlighted Florida’s significant veteran population: “More than 16 million Americans served in WWII. More than 400,000 of them never came home.
In an evening post marking a military milestone, Mast wrote: “Happy 115th Birthday to @USNavy! Thank you to the brave men and women who have served our nation at sea and abroad. But as always… go @USArmy, beat @USNavy!” (May 8, 2026).
Mast has represented Florida’s 21st District in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast earned his BA from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
