Rep. Brian Mast, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, highlighted key legislative achievements in a series of posts on August 14, 2025. Mast emphasized the benefits of recent federal initiatives for veterans and small businesses.

On August 14, Mast stated, “The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers for all of America’s heroes. Billions for the VA—a 22% boost to care for 9M+ veterans. This will upgrade facilities, expand PTSD care, and ensure steady disability payments.” He later added on the same day, “The One Big Beautiful Bill is a major victory for America’s small businesses. By expanding the small business deduction permanently at 20%, it creates more American jobs & stimulates our economy.”

In another post on August 14, Mast cited improvements in veteran support services: “WIN: @DeptVetAffairs has processed MORE disability benefits compensation & pension ratings claims in a single year than ever before. This Administration reduced the Biden-era casework backlog by more than 37% for America’s veterans.”

Brian Mast has served as a member of Congress from Florida’s 21st District since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
