Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted several updates on his official Twitter account in May 2026 regarding legislative developments and local news.

On May 12, 2026, Mast announced the advancement of new legislation: “The Medal of Sacrifice Act is officially on its way to the President’s desk. Thank you to my friend, Senator @LindseyGrahamSC, for helping get this legislation across the finish line to honor our fallen law enforcement and first responders.” Earlier that day, he had shared a brief update linking to more information: “More: https://t.co/uZaCSjFWOg”.

Later on May 12, Mast commented on the loss of a local service animal in Port St. Lucie: “Port St. Lucie lost one of its heroes. Thirteen years of loyal service—thank you, Dingo, for keeping us safe.”

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st District in Congress since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast earned his BA from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
