Rep. Brian Mast, who represents Florida’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on July 16, 2025, through his social media account. The posts covered topics ranging from Florida’s economic ranking and transportation priorities to awareness for glioblastoma.

In a post made at 12:25 p.m. UTC, Mast stated, “Florida is ranked the best economy in the nation! There’s no denying it, Florida is one of the best places to live, work, and raise a family. I’m proud to represent the Sunshine State and everything it stands for.”

Later that day at 8:16 p.m. UTC, Mast highlighted his participation in a congressional hearing regarding transportation policy: “It was great to talk with @SecDuffy during today’s @TransportGOP hearing on the @USDOT’s priorities to keep America moving. I told him how critical MEGA grants are for our communities and I also touched on manufacturing policies that ensure aviation remains as safe as possible”.

At 10:07 p.m. UTC on Glioblastoma Awareness Day, Mast addressed efforts to combat brain cancer: “Today, on Glioblastoma Awareness Day, we honor the fighters, remember the lives lost, and recommit ourselves to finding a cure.

Our community knows this disease all too well. We’ve lost far too many to this aggressive and deadly brain tumor. More than 13,000 Americans will be”.

Mast has served in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Patrick Murphy and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently resides in Fort Pierce. Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a bachelor’s degree in 2016.
