Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted a series of tweets over the Labor Day weekend highlighting economic developments and recognizing American workers.

On August 31, 2025, Mast wrote about gas prices along Florida’s Atlantic coast: “All of us driving this weekend on Florida’s Atlantic coast will see the lowest Labor Day gas prices in YEARS. That’s what American energy dominance looks like.”

Later that day, he commented on national economic data: “Q2 GDP growth has been REVISED to 3.3%, thanks to consumer spending and business investments. This is all thanks to America’s economic resiliency and the true power of pro-growth policies. Let’s keep it going!”

On September 1, Mast marked the holiday by posting: “Happy Labor Day! Today, we recognize the backbone of our nation: America’s workforce. Thank you to all of the hard-working Americans who make this country great.”

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st district in Congress since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1980, Mast resides in Fort Pierce and holds a BA from Harvard University Extension School.
