Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, recently shared updates on defense funding, infrastructure discussions, and the status of legislation regarding the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce.
On July 19, 2025, Mast emphasized bipartisan support for military personnel in a post stating, “Our nation’s men and women in uniform deserve the best equipment, technology, and support we can offer. The FY26 Defense Bill sends a clear bipartisan message that America backs our troops with more than just words. These investments will keep our military strong, our homeland”.
The following day, July 20, Mast highlighted an engagement with former colleague Sean Duffy at a committee meeting: “I had the opportunity to welcome my former colleague, @secduffy, to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee this week. It was a great chance to discuss some of the major infrastructure issues impacting our community.”
Later on July 20, Mast provided an update on legislative progress concerning a local institution: “Legislation to make the Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce the NATIONAL Navy SEAL Museum is one step closer to becoming law.”
Mast has served as Florida’s representative in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
