Rep. Brian Mast, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, recently addressed transportation and public safety issues in a series of posts on his social media account.
On December 17, 2025, Mast drew attention to a recent audit by the U.S. Department of Transportation regarding commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) in New York state: “BREAKING: In a recent @USDOT audit, more than half of NY-state issued CDL licenses were issued illegally.

Mast has served as U.S. Representative for Florida’s 21st District since 2017 after replacing Patrick Murphy and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and now residing in Fort Pierce, Mast earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
