Rep. Brian Mast, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district, shared a series of tweets on July 3, 2025. The tweets touched upon various topics ranging from fun facts about the House of Representatives to celebrating Independence Day and commenting on the current job market.
On July 3, Rep. Mast tweeted a “Fun fact about the House of Representatives: you’re not allowed on the Floor of the House during votes unless you’re a Member, a designated staffer…or if you’re under 12 years old!” He also extended an invitation to his constituents planning to visit Washington, offering them a tour.
Later that day, he reminded his followers that “It’s almost time to celebrate Independence Day! See where to watch fireworks along the Treasure Coast.” This tweet aimed at helping residents and visitors find local celebrations for Independence Day.
In another tweet posted in the afternoon, Mast highlighted positive developments in the economy by stating “Get used to it, America— the job market right now is unstoppable. Unemployment is HISTORICALLY LOW & we’re BEATING EXPECTATIONS.” He credited these improvements to President Biden’s administration while cautioning against underestimating its impact.
Brian Mast has served in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before this role, he was part of the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
