Rep. Brian Mast, who represents Florida’s 21st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on January 13, 2026, covering topics from environmental security to prescription drug costs and local fuel prices.

In a post from January 13, Mast highlighted his participation in a congressional hearing: “ICYMI: In today’s @TransportGOP hearing, I asked USCG Rear Admiral David C. Barata on whether Iran’s “Ghost Fleet” vessels pose an environmental threat to the Gulf of America.” (January 13, 2026).

Later that day, Mast commented on local fuel prices in Fort Pierce: “Two weeks into 2026 and we’re off to a great start. $2.55 in Fort Pierce!” (January 13, 2026).

Addressing healthcare concerns among his constituents, Mast also conducted an informal poll regarding prescription drug costs: ” I asked residents of #FL21 if they’ve experienced an unreasonable rise in prescription costs since Obamacare became law:

An overwhelming 65% said “YES”.

It’s clear that America deserves a fair & fresh approach to medication pricing. You can share your experience here:” (January 13, 2026).

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st district since replacing Patrick Murphy in Congress in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1980 and currently resides in Fort Pierce. Mast graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
