Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, shared several updates on his social media account on July 24, 2025, ranging from military recruitment to the passing of a sports icon and engagement with young interns.
In a post made at 17:00 UTC, Mast wrote, “We’re just half way through the year and the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force have all exceeded their annual recruitment goals. Under @POTUS, our military is stronger than ever and Americans are once again proud to serve.”
Later that day at 17:55 UTC, he commented on the death of a well-known figure in wrestling: “Saddened to learn of the passing of Hulk Hogan today—a Florida legend who inspired all of us with his strength, charisma, and sportsmanship. I’m sending prayers to his family & fans across the world. Rest in peace, brother.”
At 20:51 UTC on July 24th, Mast described an encounter with young constituents interning in Washington D.C.: “Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with some of the young people from Florida who are interning in our nation’s capital this summer through @FloridaHouseDC. It’s always great to learn about their interests & hear their questions. #NationalInternDay”
Mast has served as representative for Florida’s 21st District since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress he served in the Florida House of Representatives.
