Rep. Brian Mast, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district, posted a series of public service announcements on his social media accounts in early August 2025, addressing community safety and environmental awareness.

On August 2, Mast highlighted new tax exemptions for hurricane preparedness supplies: “Many items on the hurricane supply list are now permanently tax free. Make sure you’re prepared.”

The following day, August 3, Mast turned attention to local wildlife protection during nesting season: “Sargassum seaweed on our beaches could contain sea turtle nests—from loggerheads to endangered leatherbacks and green turtles, we’re still in the middle of their nesting season. Keep an eye out.”

Later that same day, Mast addressed road safety after a fatal crash: “Speeding isn’t just reckless, it’s deadly. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families affected by this tragic crash. It’s a reminder that pushing the limits on our roads puts every life at risk. Let’s stay alert, drive responsibly, and protect our community!”

Mast has served as the representative for Florida’s 21st congressional district since 2017, succeeding Patrick Murphy in Congress. He previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives and resides in Fort Pierce. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980, Mast earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
