Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted several updates on social media this week addressing border security, law enforcement appreciation, and local emergency response efforts.

On February 4, Mast shared information regarding migrant encounters at the U.S. border, stating: “Migrant encounters at our border are at their LOWEST level in 50+ years.” (February 4, 2026).

The following day, he expressed gratitude for law enforcement officers and acknowledged their sacrifices: “They walk into danger, stand between us and disorder, and uphold the laws of our land. And some pay their lives in service—they deserve our nation’s respect. Thank you @NatPoliceAssoc.” (February 5, 2026).

Later on February 5, Mast highlighted a local initiative in his district: “St. Lucie county extended their emergency cold weather shelter operations for those in need.”

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st congressional district since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently resides in Fort Pierce. Before his tenure in Congress, Mast served in the Florida House of Representatives and earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
