Rep. Brian Mast, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district, shared a series of tweets on May 6 and 7, 2025, addressing various issues including border security, education, and small business support.

On May 6, Rep. Mast emphasized the importance of public safety by advocating for stricter immigration policies. He stated: “Close the borders and defund ‘sanctuary cities.’ We must put public safety first and keep criminals away from our children.”

Later that day, he turned his attention to education during Teacher Appreciation Week. He urged for more substantial support for educators: ” This Teacher Appreciation Week, let’s do more than say thank you. Let’s empower educators and ensure taxpayer dollars benefit students, not Washington bureaucrats. When teachers can lead, our students win.”

On May 7, Rep. Mast highlighted economic achievements as Small Business Month commenced. He noted job growth and low unemployment rates while calling for supportive policies for small businesses: ” We’re kicking off Small Business Month with momentum—177,000 new jobs and unemployment at historic lows. Small businesses are the backbone of our communities with need policies that will support them, not trap them in red tape.”

Brian Mast has been serving in Congress since 2017 after replacing Patrick Murphy. Prior to his congressional role, he served in the Florida House of Representatives.
