The City of Port St. Lucie is preparing for a month filled with activities as it celebrates National Park and Recreation Month this July. The Parks & Recreation Department has organized a series of events to engage residents and showcase the city’s recreational offerings.

Among the planned activities is “Lucie’s Summer Adventure Scavenger Hunt,” which will take place from July 17 to 22 at Pioneer Park during playground hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Families can explore the park using QR-coded clues to find hidden summer-themed items. Participants who complete the scavenger hunt can enter a prize drawing for a beach bucket filled with summer toys by submitting photos of each item online.

On Wednesday, July 9, residents are invited to join a free Zumba class at the Port St. Lucie Community Center from 7-8 p.m., led by instructor Reyna. The session is open to all fitness levels, and no registration is required.

Additionally, adventurers can participate in “GeoTour, Let’s Go Geocaching” throughout July at Minsky Gym. For $5, participants can register to locate six hidden caches in city parks and earn rewards. Registration opens on July 1 at Minsky Gym.

Residents can also enjoy various youth and adult summer programs such as basketball leagues, flag football, art camps, wrestling, monthly garage sales, and even a Build PSL Minecraft competition. Some activities may have associated fees.

The Webtrac app has been launched to facilitate easy registration for Parks & Recreation programs. Residents can download the app or visit PSLParks.com for more information on upcoming activities.

In addition to these events, the City of Port St. Lucie’s Convenient Drop-Off Center will adjust its operations starting in June to prioritize residents with new hours from Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.–4 p.m., and Sunday from 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m., while restricting yard waste or construction materials drop-off and limiting visits to three trips per month.
