The City of Port St. Lucie has announced adjustments to the operations of its Convenient Drop-Off Center. The center will now be open from Wednesday to Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. These changes are intended to better serve residents, with restrictions including no acceptance of yard waste or construction materials and a limit of three trips per month.

Independent contractors and business owners in Port St. Lucie are reminded of the necessity to secure a business tax receipt from the city for legal operation. This requirement applies to all professions within the city, including those classified as 1099 independent contractors.

For those needing to obtain a business tax receipt, there is a structured process in place. As the renewal period commences, businesses should take note of the available methods for renewing their receipts.

Further information about obtaining and renewing business tax receipts can be found at www.CityofPSL.com/BusinessTax.
