On Tuesday, April 1, former Fort Pierce Central High School standout Dale Francis, Jr.’s current college team, the Gardner–Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs, lost 11-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The game took place at Cary C. Boshamer Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Tar Heels this season.

The Runnin’ Bulldogs’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 4 at 5 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Western Carolina Catamounts.
