Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted several updates on April 8, 2026, addressing public safety and veterans’ affairs.

In a tweet at 18:59 UTC, Mast warned about hazardous beach conditions: “Dangerous surf conditions & rip currents continue today. 

Swim only when lifeguards are present.” He followed up less than two minutes later with an additional message linking to more information: “MORE: https://t.co/fRuyrVYoQU”

Later that day at 19:49 UTC, Mast commented on the treatment of veterans under the current administration: “This Administration’s VA is giving the patriots who served our country the treatment & care they earned.”

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st District in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980, Mast currently resides in Fort Pierce and graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
