Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, issued several public messages on his social media account between March 16 and March 17, 2026, addressing topics ranging from public safety to federal worker pay and tax policy.

On March 16, Mast posted a reminder about ocean safety for spring break travelers: “Spring break reminder—check water conditions before swimming and never swim in the ocean alone. Take rip currents seriously and look out for one another!” (March 16, 2026).

Later that day, he commented on ongoing federal budget negotiations: “Senate Democrats are holding federal workers’ pay hostage for the third time in six months. Enough to enough—fund homeland security, pay @TSA, and stand up for the dedicated Americans who safeguard our airports.” (March 16, 2026).

On March 17, Mast turned his attention to tax season: “We’re less than one month away from the tax filing deadline on April 15. Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, Americans are projected to see their biggest returns yet!” (March 17, 2026).

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st District in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980, Mast currently resides in Fort Pierce.
