Rep. Brian Mast, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st District since 2017, recently used his social media platform to share updates on local events and national issues relevant to his constituents.
On September 1, Mast invited students to an upcoming event in the district: “I’m honored to invite all high school students in Florida’s 21st Congressional District to our upcoming Service Academy Summit. This is your chance to learn about the process of securing a Congressional nomination. “ (posted September 1, 2025).
The following day, Mast commented on a national public health initiative and recent legislative efforts: “.@POTUS declared this week as ‘Overdose Prevention Week.’ Earlier this summer, I proudly supported the HALT Fentanyl Act to classify all fentanyl compounds as Schedule 1 drugs. Every American family affected by addiction and the overdose epidemic knows just how important it is” (posted September 2, 2025).
Later that same day, Mast issued a public safety notice concerning water quality in his district: “Water Quality Health Advisory The St. Lucie River is under a health advisory at the Roosevelt Bridge in Downtown Stuart.” (posted September 2, 2025).
Mast has represented Florida’s 21st District since replacing Patrick Murphy in Congress in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he now resides in Fort Pierce and graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a bachelor’s degree.
