Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted a series of messages on his social media accounts in late January 2026 addressing tax policy for military personnel, opposition to animal testing funded by taxpayer dollars, and a call for prioritizing American interests.

On January 23, 2026, Mast wrote: “Tax breaks for our warriors!”

Later that day, he expressed support for former colleague Lee Zeldin’s stance against animal testing: “This is great news! Thank you to my friend and former colleague @EPAleezeldin for standing against cruel animal testing. Our tax dollars should never be spent to fund these horrific experiments.”

The following day, Mast posted another message emphasizing national priorities: “America first!” (January 24, 2026).

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st congressional district since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. He previously served in the Florida House of Representatives and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University Extension School. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980, Mast currently resides in Fort Pierce.
