Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, recently posted a series of messages on social media reflecting on law enforcement and military service in his community.
On May 13, Mast wrote: “All gave some, some gave all. Rest easy, we have the watch.”
The following day, during Police Week, Mast acknowledged local law enforcement officers: “It’s Police Week & I have the privilege of welcoming law enforcement officers from my own community of St. Lucie County—including my friend, Sheriff @RichardDelToro.
Later that same day, Mast highlighted a local institution’s national significance: “Our community is home to the UDT-Navy Seal Museum, where it all began for these elite warfighters. That’s why I’m pushing to make it a national museum.” (May 14).
Mast has represented Florida’s 21st district in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce at age 42, Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
