Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, posted a series of updates on his social media accounts regarding the upcoming State of the Union address and local weather conditions.

On February 23, 2026, Mast shared his anticipation for President Biden’s State of the Union speech, stating: “Excited to hear from @POTUS tomorrow in his State of the Union. America is back and Republicans in Congress are delivering on our promises.” He reiterated this message in a subsequent post on the same day: “Excited to hear from @POTUS tomorrow in his State of the Union. America is back and Republicans in Congress are delivering on our promises.”

In another update posted on February 24, 2026, Mast addressed constituents about severe weather affecting his district: “#FL21 is under a freeze warning. If you’re in St. Lucie County and need a cold weather shelter:
Percy Peek Gym: 2902 Avenue D, Fort Pierce. Open 5PM–8AM.
Please stay safe and check on those who may need help.”

Mast has served as Florida’s representative for its 21st congressional district since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1980, Mast now resides in Fort Pierce and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University Extension School.
