Brian Mast, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district, shared several updates on his official Twitter account on May 22, 2025. Mast, who has been serving in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Patrick Murphy, highlighted legislative achievements and economic progress within Florida.

On May 22, Mast announced that the House had passed a significant piece of legislation known as the One Big Beautiful Bill. He described it as an effort to prevent “the largest tax hike in American history” and urged the Senate to act by sending it to President Biden’s desk for approval. The tweet can be accessed here.

Later that day, Mast praised Florida’s economic performance, stating that the state added “21,800 new jobs in April” and claimed its economy was now “number one in the nation.” He attributed this success to “low taxes, conservative leadership, and sunshine.” This tweet is available here.
