Rep. Brian Mast, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, recently posted several updates on his social media account addressing animal testing and workforce demographics.

On March 30, 2026, Mast commented on research practices, stating “GOOD. Research can advance without abusing innocent animals.” The following day, March 31, he referenced developments at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration: “Good news from @US_FDA—we’re finally taking steps to stop testing on animals.”

In another post dated April 1, 2026, Mast shifted focus to federal employment statistics: “Only 7 percent of the federal workforce is under 30. Empowering young people to join the workforce is what keeps America running.”

Mast has served in Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2016.
