Rep. Brian Mast, U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st District since 2017, recently posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing local opportunities and national policy issues.
On March 11, Mast announced an opportunity for veterans, military spouses, and Gold Star family members to apply for the Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program in his district office. He wrote: “My district office is accepting applications for the Green & Gold Congressional Aide Program; if you’re a veteran, military spouse, or Gold Star family member, you’re eligible to apply. Come serve Florida’s 21st District! MORE: https://t.co/jLOcNryYD2” (March 11, 2026).
Later that day, Mast criticized Democratic lawmakers over Social Security tax policy. He stated: “Don’t forget that every single House and Senate Democrat voted AGAINST no taxes on social security. If you’re a senior in America, Democrats want the federal government to take more of your hard-earned earned benefits.” (March 11, 2026).
On March 12, Mast addressed criminal justice and immigration policies in Virginia. He questioned: “Why was an illegal criminal with more than 30 arrests released freely in the state of Virginia? Sanctuary policies kill Americans. https://t.co/5oaqRtbr45” (March 12, 2026).
Mast has served as the representative for Florida’s 21st District since succeeding Patrick Murphy in Congress in 2017. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce at age 42, Mast holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University Extension School.
