Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, has been actively voicing his opinions and engaging with the community through social media. On June 16, 2025, he shared insights on various topics including environmental issues and local achievements.
On June 16, Mast emphasized the importance of protecting Florida’s water resources from industrial interests by stating “Florida’s water doesn’t belong to the sugar industry, plain and simple.” He mentioned welcoming the Everglades Foundation to Capitol Hill as part of ongoing efforts for clean water advocacy.
Later that day, he acknowledged local talent by congratulating Gianna, a young artist from Florida’s 21st district. He noted “Last week, Gianna and her mom, Laura, were in town to see Gianna’s piece ‘Painted by the Water,’ hanging in the halls of the Capitol.” This recognition came as part of the Congressional art competition.
In another tweet on World Sea Turtle Day, Mast drew attention to wildlife conservation along Florida’s Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches. He reminded followers that “it’s illegal to harm sea turtle nests or eggs” during nesting season for Greens, Loggerheads, and Leatherbacks. He urged collective efforts to protect these species.
Brian Mast was born in Grand Rapids in 1980 and now resides in Fort Pierce. His educational background includes a BA from Harvard University Extension School obtained in 2016.
