Rep. Brian Mast, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Florida’s 21st District since 2017, shared several thoughts on Twitter regarding current events and personal acknowledgments. Mast, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, has been a public figure since succeeding Patrick Murphy.
On May 10, 2025, Rep. Mast addressed Floridians during Hurricane Preparedness Week by urging them to review their emergency plans. He stated, “During Hurricane Preparedness Week, Floridians should take stock of their emergency checklists. Let’s get ahead of potential storms before they’re on our doorstep.”
The following day, May 11, he expressed gratitude towards mothers and his wife through a heartfelt message. He tweeted “To all the moms out there, thank you for everything. And to my incredible wife Brianna, our family couldn’t do it without you. Have a very happy Mother’s Day!”
Later that same day, Mast commented on legislative actions taken by House Republicans regarding the renaming of a significant body of water. He posted “This week, House Republicans passed a bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. This is about more than just a name; it’s a symbol of our pride and strength. We’re putting America FIRST.”
