Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, has expressed his views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and now residing in Fort Pierce, Mast has been vocal about immigration policies, energy concerns, and economic development.
On May 14, 2025, Mast addressed the issue of gang-affiliated migrants, stating that they pose a threat to community safety. He remarked that law enforcement officers are finally receiving support from the current Administration to deport these individuals promptly. He emphasized the necessity to secure the border “Dangerous gang-affiliated migrants are threatening the safety of our communities. Our law enforcement officers are finally getting support from this Administration to deport these individuals immediately. We must secure the border.”
The following day, on May 15, 2025, Mast criticized what he perceives as Democratic policies leading to high gas prices and detrimental climate mandates. He attributed refinery shutdowns and failed policies for the financial strain at fuel stations on American families and called for a release of American energy resources “The future Democrats want is $8 gas, and thanks to radical climate mandates and refinery shutdowns, these failed policies are crushing American families at the pump. It’s time to unleash American energy.”
Later on May 15th, Mast conveyed optimism about economic recovery efforts under current initiatives. He stated that America is being rebuilt in a way that makes achieving the American dream more attainable “The left hates to see it. We are building back America and making the American dream affordable again.”
Brian Mast graduated from Harvard University Extension School with a BA in 2016.
