Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, used his social media platform this week to address issues ranging from education policy to local weather concerns and economic priorities.

On January 26, Mast highlighted National School Choice Week, stating, “This week is #NationalSchoolChoiceWeek. Every child deserves to have the tools they need to learn, succeed, and thrive. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to education, and that’s why school choice matters.”

Later the same day, Mast addressed economic issues affecting American families. He wrote on January 26: “We’re lowering costs and standing up for workers, tipped employees, and seniors. Hard-working American families deserve to come first.”

On January 27, Mast turned his attention to local weather conditions in Florida’s Treasure Coast region. He posted: “Heads up, Treasure Coast: this weekend could bring our coldest weather since 2010. Make sure you’re prepared and checking on your neighbors.”

Mast has represented Florida’s 21st district in Congress since succeeding Patrick Murphy in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University Extension School in 2016.
