Rep. Brian Mast, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 21st district since 2017, recently shared several statements on social media addressing drug policy, support for military families, and upcoming tax changes.
On December 16, 2025, Mast thanked President Biden for his stance on dangerous drugs by posting: “Thank you @POTUS for calling these devastating drugs exactly what they are—weapons of mass destruction.”
Later that day, Mast discussed legislation he introduced regarding fallen servicemembers. He wrote: “Freedom has never been free. It’s why I introduced legislation that would give every family of America’s fallen the opportunity to have their loved one lie in state in the dome of the Capitol. Servicemembers killed in action risked everything for us, and they deserve our”.
On December 17, 2025, Mast turned his attention to tax policy with a message about forthcoming benefits: “Who’s ready for 2026? The Working Families Tax Cuts will provide Americans with much larger tax refunds next year.”
Mast has served as a member of Congress since replacing Patrick Murphy in 2017 and previously held office in the Florida House of Representatives. Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1980 and currently residing in Fort Pierce, Mast is also a graduate of Harvard University Extension School.
