The City of Port St. Lucie is set to host a Tree Giveaway Event on May 18, offering residents the opportunity to enhance the city's natural beauty. The event, organized by Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful, will distribute 500 assorted trees, including avocado and Barbados cherry trees, to residents.
To ensure an efficient distribution process, the event will be conducted as a drive-thru, with each resident eligible to receive one tree. City staff will oversee the distribution on a first-come, first-served basis, requiring residents to provide identification proving their city residency.
The Tree Giveaway Event will take place at a new location this year, at Clover Park on 31 Piazza Dr., offering a more convenient and accessible venue for residents to collect their trees. The initiative aims to promote community engagement and advocate for the preservation of Port St. Lucie's natural environment.
